I don’t know what came over me. The other day I decided to watch the news. As you may know from my previous Musing, this is something I am generally averse to doing but at least I can say that I chose a broadcaster less likely to sensationalise.
The bulletin seemed responsible and measured, albeit 30 minutes longer than usual. And then towards the end of the programme came a news feature about how the rolling news on coronavirus is making those with anxiety even more anxious. How the presenter introducing the segment kept a straight face I have no idea.
At the end, they said it’s OK to turn off social media and the news.
I took their advice.
Switch off. Stay well.
